The Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for supporting the schedule and calendar of the Vice Chancellor for Sponsored Programs and Research Operations, as well as providing administrative support to the Research Concierge Program. This role also provides general administrative support for the Office of Sponsored Programs and serves as the primary point of contact for its general phone line. The candidate will be proficient in using computer software, such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, PowerPoint, Excel, and other internal electronic systems and shared databases. Strong customer service and organizational skills are required, along with professionalism, tact, discretion, and initiative.

Job Summary

Supports senior level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.

Essential Functions

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to team and department leadership.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for the department's main phone line.
  • Manages calendar and schedule for department's senior leadership.

Position requires excellent analytical skills, proofreading skills, and the ability to work professionally in stressful situations. Must be self-motivated.

Position is primarily sedentary.
