The DeKalb County School District is an equal opportunity employer, and all hiring decisions are subject to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.<br><br><strong>Title: Operator, Lead Computer<br><br></strong>Performs applications development for existing DeKalb County School District (DCSD) student data systems; assists users (school and central office employees) in accessing necessary information to complete job assignments; and protects data systems from intended and unintended damage.<br><br><strong>Essential Job Duties<br><br></strong><ul><li> Maintains and creates student accounting software user profiles (eSIS), central office accounting software user profiles (Terms/CP), and Schoolnet (IDMS) software user profiles.</li><li> Assists Legal teams with pulling and providing requested Microsoft 0365 data and emails for legal review as needed.</li><li> Maintains and creates DOE user profiles; serves as a DeKalb County security officer for the state portal site.</li><li> Monitors software for patterns of spam and viruses on a system level.</li><li> Administers, maintains and configures the Microsoft O365 environment.</li><li> Builds and deploys Windows and Linux based servers in on Premise VMWare, Hyper-V and Microsoft Azure.</li><li> Administers, maintains and configures Microsoft Azure environment.</li><li> Provides advanced technical support and troubleshooting for IT issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.</li><li> Implements and maintains security measures to protect data, systems, and networks. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.</li><li> Works closely with other IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and IT managers, to support and improve IT services. Participates in group chats and meetings related to various IT projects and initiatives.</li><li> Maintains accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Prepares reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.</li><li> Performs additional duties as assigned.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Programming or closely related area from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university is required.</li><li> Minimum three (3) years of computer operations, base platform operations or closely related experience is required.</li><li> Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar are preferred.</li></ul>
