Experienced Wikipedia Editor Needed to Create and Publish Page for Advertising Agency

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced Wikipedia editor to help create, edit, and successfully publish a Wikipedia page for our company, Division of Labor, a San Francisco–based advertising agency that works with technology startups.

This project requires someone who understands Wikipedia’s strict editorial guidelines, including notability standards, neutrality, reliable sourcing, and conflict-of-interest policies.

The goal is to produce a fully compliant Wikipedia article that can be reviewed, accepted, and remain live on the platform.

We are not looking for SEO writers or general copywriters — only freelancers with demonstrated experience publishing Wikipedia pages that have remained live.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Division of Labor is a creative advertising agency specializing in brand building and advertising campaigns for technology startups. The agency has produced award-winning campaigns and has been recognized in advertising and technology publications.

The freelancer will help translate publicly available information into a neutral, encyclopedic Wikipedia article supported by credible sources.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The selected freelancer will:

Research independent, reliable sources covering Division of Labor

Assess whether sufficient notability and citations exist

Draft a neutral Wikipedia-compliant article

Format the article according to Wikipedia style guidelines

Submit the article through the appropriate Wikipedia process (e.g., Articles for Creation)

Manage editor feedback and revisions until approval

Successfully publish the page

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must have:

Proven experience creating and publishing Wikipedia articles

Strong understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines

Experience with Articles for Creation (AfC) submission

Ability to write neutral, encyclopedic content

Experience sourcing credible third-party citations
