Food Service Director

Join and lead our Food Service team this summer in the beautiful Berkshires. We are looking for someone to join us Late May to Late August - Comfortable private housing is provided in addition to salary.

The Berkshire Soccer Academy is a unique overnight soccer camp for girls ages 9-18. We offer an elite training experience in a traditional camp setting on a private lake in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts.

The Food Service Director will work closely with the Camp Directors to provide nutritious food and snacks to 175 campers and 90 staff daily. Responsibilities will include bringing to life our menu, through the preparation and service of food at the Academy. We take pride in serving healthy (kid friendly), high quality meals to support the growth and success of our campers and staff.

Food Service Director manage the Assistant Chef, along with 8-9 other kitchen staff members. This includes day off scheduling, feedback evaluations, and responsibility management. The food service director will manage their team in a caring and supportive management, building healthy and productive relationships. The Head Chef, along with every other camp employee, will have 1 regularly scheduled day off for every 6 working days and regularly scheduled time off during the work day.

Job Qualifications based on our Service Standards:

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in food preparation and service.
  • Serv Safe certified (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and follow directions
  • Ability to interact positively with other staff members and children ages 9 - 18
  • Past summer camp experience, a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical duties, lift approx. 60 pounds.

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week
