The firm handles a wide range of matters in civil and commercial litigation, professional and disciplinary law, as well as medical liability, acting for a client base that includes businesses, professionals and institutions.

The Role

As a Litigation Lawyer, you will be involved in a variety of matters, primarily in civil and commercial litigation as well as medical liability. You will play an active role in managing files, with direct exposure to clients and strategic aspects of the mandates.

The role offers significant autonomy in file management, while also providing guidance when needed. The firm values professionals who are able to move their files forward proactively and thoughtfully.

Responsibilities

Manage civil and commercial litigation files

Work on medical liability matters

Draft legal proceedings, opinions and strategic correspondence

Represent clients before courts and relevant tribunals

Contribute to the development of litigation strategies tailored to each matter

Monitor files and procedural deadlines

Maintain direct relationships with clients

Contribute, on occasion, to employment and labour law mandates

Requirements

Member in good standing of the Québec Bar

3 to 5 years of litigation experience, or more

Experience in civil and commercial litigation; exposure to medical liability (an asset)

Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills

Autonomy, intellectual curiosity and ability to advance files proactively

Professionalism and confidence in dealing with a sophisticated clientele

Strong judgment, attention to detail and ability to prioritize

Team-oriented with a solution-driven mindset

Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
