Role and Responsibilities:
As a Lead Classroom Teacher at KinderCare, you will be an essential part of children’s educational growth, helping them reach key developmental stages while creating a positive and secure classroom setting where curiosity and learning can thrive. You will also partner with families and fellow educators to ensure an outstanding early learning experience.
- Use KinderCare’s curriculum and tailor lessons to meet the unique developmental needs of each child.
- Keep the classroom safe, engaging, and supportive for every learner.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Collaborate with parents to encourage continuous learning and development.
- Support center goals involving accreditation, enrollment, and community engagement.
- Comply with state licensing regulations and KinderCare policies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Excellent customer service abilities, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to multitask.
- Meet state-required qualifications for the position or be open to obtaining them.
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to complete the training.
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds, taking part in indoor and outdoor activities, and staying physically active with children.
- Able to communicate clearly in English with children and families.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or eligibility for NAEYC candidacy.
- Two to three years of prior experience in early childhood education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Approval as a state trainer (preferred).
