See Additional Requirements Below.<br><br></strong>Position Summary<br><br>The Department of History and Department of Religion at the University of Georgia invites applications for a one-year limited-term lecturer in Jewish History, renewable for up to two additional years. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2026.<br><br>This position will be a joint appointment in the Departments of History and Religion, with an undergraduate teaching load of eight courses per academic year (four per semester). The successful candidate should have a documented record of teaching and an ability to offer courses in diverse areas, including, but not limited to fields such as American Jewish History (of any period), European Jewish History, Holocaust Studies, Jewish immigration, Modern Judaism, and Jewish-Christian Relations. The lecturer will be expected develop new course offerings aligned with the goal of expanding the Jewish Studies curriculum in order to appeal to a broad range of students across the UGA campus.<br><br><strong>Additional Requirements<br><br></strong>A Ph.D. degree is preferred.
