Maintenance Technician(Lake Tyler)
Performs heavy manual labor and support of plant operations/water supply personnel; to repair, maintain, and operate water supply/water and wastewater treatment systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform general labor tasks, including cleaning, groundskeeping, and material handling.
- Assist in routine maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, valves, piping, and other plant equipment.
- Assists with both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance projects.
- Assists with the loading /unloading of materials, supplies, etc.
- Excavation by hand using shovels, picks and other tools.
- Load/unload materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Pick up trash / empty trash, drums
- Perform mowing, raking, and trimming brush using power tools.
- Ability to use a computer for basic functions.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools.
- Report hazards, equipment malfunctions, or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Assist in handling chemicals and materials according to safety guidelines.
- Document maintenance activities and assist with inventory control.
- Follow all safety procedures.

Education and Experience :
High School diploma or GED preferred. One (1) year of experience in manual labor is preferred. Utilities experience preferred. Must possess a valid Class C Texas Driver’s license with a clear driving record.
Utilities experience is helpful but not required.
