Position Summary

The Network Analyst role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. They will participate in the planning, installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide peer training, documentation and knowledge sharing.

Location: 6767 Davand Drive, Mississauga

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours

  • Flexible to work afterhours and on-call rotation
  • A reliable vehicle is required for travel within Canada and possibly the United States.

What you will do

  • Supporting networks across all sites, routing, switching and wireless.
  • Assist in designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, security appliances and WAN, DNS and DHCP
  • Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
  • Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades
  • Investigating faults in the network, working with team, plan and/or implement to resolve faults
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases, keeping systems up to date with supportable and stable releases.
  • Reporting network status, stability and treads to key stakeholders
  • Other duties and tasks, as well as involvement with other IT projects, as required and assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • 3 years of direct networking experience in a medium-to-large environment
  • Post secondary education with Information Technology related certifications – Diploma/Degree
  • Industry certifications at the network and / or security intermediate level

Along with the following Skills & Competencies:

  • Working experience and strong technical knowledge in of multi-site networking environments both on premises and cloud services
  • Working experience Routing, Switching, Firewalls, DNS, DCHP, IP Management and Load balancers
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • IT support in the supply chain, logistics, and/or transportation industry an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with strong emphasis on following procedures, sharing best practices and documentation creation and upkeep
