Quality Engineer I

<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>As a Quality Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. You will be responsible for supporting quality assurance processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards.<br><br>You will report directly to our Quality Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Kanata, Ontario location.<br><br>In this role, you will impact the overall quality of our products by identifying areas for improvement, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions to enhance product reliability and performance.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br></strong><ul><li>Support the quality assurance processes by conducting product and process audits to identify areas for improvement.</li><li>Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance product quality.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and metrics that align with organizational objectives.</li><li>Participate in internal and external quality audits.</li><li>Management of nonconforming materials and prepares evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, makes recommendations for and initiates the most cost-effective</li><li>Interface with supplier quality, customer quality and other teams in finding resolution to concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective actions are implemented.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance. <br><br></strong><strong>YOU MUST HAVE<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.</li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in quality engineering or related roles.</li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry.<br><br></li></ul><strong>WE VALUE<br><br></strong><ul><li>Advanced engineering degrees such as ME (Mechanical Engineering) or EE (Electrical Engineering).</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies.</li><li>Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques.</li><li>Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.</li><li>Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.</li><li>Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standard</li><li>Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100D quality management system standard</li><li>Certified internal auditor for ISO 2001:2015 and/or AS9100 quality management system standard – a plus</li><li>Familiarity with electronics manufacturing environment, processes and systems<br><br></li></ul>The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 in Kanata, Ontario.
