This strategic role focuses on the cart and payments platform, requiring expertise in managing e-commerce transactions and leading a dedicated team to enhance user experience and product performance.
Responsibilities
- Act as the company's foremost subject matter expert for all e-commerce transactions, payments, and compliance, guiding executive stakeholders and engineering architects on technical and strategic decisions
- Lead the company's core payments strategy, managing the full stack from payment processing and gateway relationships to fraud prevention and cost optimization
- Define the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for the TKWW checkout and cart experience, creating a scaled, seamless, trustworthy, and high-converting funnel for both couples and their guests
- Own the product lifecycle for our universal cart, optimizing for complex, mixed-cart scenarios (e.g., third-party registry items, cash funds, honeymoon contributions, and physical products)
- Drive outcome-focused execution - what matters most is how the product impacts our customers and our business
- Champion a world-class guest experience, deeply understanding the user psychology of "gifting" to reduce friction, build trust, and drive measurable improvements
- Partner with design and user research to prototype, test, and launch new checkout experiences
- Drive the roadmap for payment method expansion, evaluating and integrating digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay), Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) solutions
- Own the key business metrics for payments and implement strategies to improve them continuously
