<strong>SEASONAL EVENT PLANNER<br><br></strong>Canada Summer Jobs Temporary Position<br><br>Part Time Seasonal Position<strong> (Approximately 8 - 12 weeks, 32hrs/wk) <br><br></strong>Hourly <strong>$19.43 CAD<br><br></strong>Must meet the requirements of the Canada Summer Jobs program.<br><br>Hamilton, ON<br><br><em><strong>Position pending the approval of funding.<br><br></strong></em>The Seasonal Event Planner will support the planning and coordination of district events. Reporting to the Community Development Manager, the Seasonal Event Planner will provide additional support to and communicate directly with District Office Staff. They will also communicate to people within and outside of Karis Disability Services to provide information about the organization. Supports include event planning activities, administrative responsibilities, as well as marketing and customer relations relating to events. This position requires occasional compensated travel so access to a vehicle would be beneficial. This position works in office during weekday business hours but must be available for the large fundraising event they are organizing on June 6.<br><br>The Seasonal Event Planner will respect and uphold the Values, Vision and Mission of Karis Disability Services, demonstrating the highest standards of courtesy and respect in their dealings with other employees, people using services and both internal and external stakeholders.<br><br><em><strong>Requirements of the Canada Summer Jobs Program for this position:<br><br></strong></em><ul><li>The candidate will work 30 - 32 hours a week for approximately 8 - 12 weeks;</li><li>Be between the ages of 18-30 at the start of employment;</li><li>Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act<br><br></li></ul><strong>Karis Disability Services seeks to hire a workforce that represents the diversity of the communities where we serve.
