Trainee Analyst

Employment Type: Internship / Traineeship (3–6 months, flexible start date)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern / Trainee Analyst to support our investment research and reporting activities. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with data, are curious about how investments and markets operate, and are eager to gain hands-on experience in a small, collaborative business environment.

No prior finance experience is required—comprehensive training and guidance will be provided.

Key ResponsibilitiesResearch & Learning

  • Research and summarize information on mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment products
  • Monitor economic and market news, distilling key insights into concise, easy-to-understand summaries
  • Build foundational knowledge of asset classes, portfolio construction, and investment concepts

Data & Reporting Support

  • Maintain and update Excel-based trackers for fund performance and portfolio data
  • Assist in preparing basic charts, tables, and summaries for internal reviews and presentations
  • Organize and manage databases containing fund factsheets, market reports, and product documentation

Project & Presentation Support

  • Assist in preparing materials for internal discussions, client-facing reports, or digital content
  • Create clean, well-structured visual summaries and presentation decks (PowerPoint or Canva; training provided)
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions on improving the clarity and presentation of investment ideas

Who This Role Is For

  • Curious, responsible, and eager to learn, even without a background in finance
  • Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets and able to identify patterns in data
  • Interested in investments, personal finance, economics, or research
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys turning information into clear, useful insights

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with Excel functions such as XLOOKUP, charts, and basic formulas
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Canva, or simple data visualization tools
  • Interest or experience in writing short summaries or reports
  • Exposure to investment platforms such as Fundsupermart, Endowus, or Morningstar
