Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Overnight Sanitation associate to support the cleanliness and upkeep of our warehouse, trailers and yard. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, organized, and hygienic warehouse environment throughout the night shift. This is a union position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean warehouse floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing, or vacuum using standard floor-care equipment and machines.
- Clean and restock restrooms.
- Clean and polish warehouse furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, partitions, and mirrors, appropriate cleaning solutions, sponges and squeegees.
- Bale cardboard and plastic.
- Work with water, commercial degreasers and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Follow safety procedures for the use of cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage to floors and fixtures.
- Move heavy materials or equipment manually or use electric pallet jacks when needed.
- Rake leaves, sweep walks, mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clear debris from grounds.
- Notify management of any repairs or maintenance concerns.
- Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spreading salt and sand.
- Notify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Set up arrange and remove tables, chairs and decorations for facility events.
- Use household-grade Spray insecticides and foggers or traps to support pest prevention.
Essential skills and experience:
- Pallet Jack experience a plus.
- Janitorial or warehouse sanitation experience is a plus.
Work Environment
- Warehouse setting with frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
- Fast-paced environment.
- Requires steel toe shoes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
Schedule:
Sunday through Thursday
9:00pm - 5:15am
